Overview
This FAQ collects everyday answers about accessing your digital downloads, printing pages from our books and bonus packs, and what is (and is not) okay to share.
It applies to puzzle books published under the Chronicles of Wordcraft and R. R. Thalore names, and to related digital materials such as sample pages, bonus packs, and printable extras that we deliver through our website or email.
This FAQ is for convenience only. It does not replace our Permissions & Licensing, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Cookies, or Disclosures pages. If there is any conflict, those documents—and any specific agreements you have with us—will govern.
Quick answers
Can I print pages more than once?
Yes. For personal and household use, you may re-print or photocopy pages from books or bonus packs you own so that you (and your immediate household) can solve or color them again. Large-scale copying, resale, or redistributing full PDFs is not allowed.
Can I share a bonus pack with a friend?
You may invite friends or colleagues to join the waitlist or newsletter so they can claim their own copy. Please don’t forward full downloads, upload them to shared drives, or post them as free resources.
What if my download link doesn’t work?
First, try the link in another browser or device and check spam/junk folders. If it still fails, contact us (details below) with your name, the email address you used, and which book or pack you’re trying to access. We’ll do our best to help.
Can I use your pages in my own products?
No. Using our puzzles or artwork inside anything you sell (books, printables, courses, apps, merch, etc.) requires a written license. See Permissions & Licensing for details.
Are your printing recommendations sponsored?
Sometimes we recommend printers, paper, or tools. Some of those links may be affiliate links. We explain how this works on our Disclosures and Affiliate & Partnerships pages.
Can I use your press kit images?
Our press kit assets are for genuine editorial coverage and must be used as described there. They may not be used as logos, design elements, or commercial artwork in your own products. See our Permissions & Licensing and Terms of Use pages for more.
1. Download delivery & access
1.1 How are digital downloads delivered?
Depending on what you’ve purchased or signed up for, downloads may be delivered by:
- A secure download link on a confirmation page immediately after you sign up for a bonus pack or free sample.
- An email from our mailing platform (for example, a “here is your bonus pack” email with button-style links).
- A bookstore or platform you bought from (such as Amazon, if you have enabled digital extras through their systems).
Most of our downloads are PDF files designed for standard home printers. Some special packs may include additional formats, which will be clearly labelled on the download page itself.
1.2 Do download links expire?
We aim to keep links available for a reasonable period, but we may rotate files, update packs, or retire older experiments over time. For that reason:
- We recommend saving your PDF to your own device or private cloud storage once you’ve downloaded it.
- We may limit the number of download attempts in order to protect against automated scraping or abuse of bonus packs and press assets.
- If you legitimately lose access (for example, you changed email providers), you can contact us and we’ll see what can be recovered.
1.3 What if I never received the email?
If you don’t see the expected email within a few minutes:
- Check your spam, junk, or “Promotions” folders.
- Search for “R. R. Thalore” or “Chronicles of Wordcraft” in your inbox.
- If you use multiple email addresses, confirm which one you entered on the form or bookstore checkout.
If you still can’t find it, please reach out to us (see the contact section below) with a screenshot or receipt if possible. We may ask a few questions to verify your request before resending links.
2. Printing our books and bonus packs
2.1 Personal & household printing
Personal use means using our puzzles and art for yourself and your immediate household, with no fee being charged and no public distribution.
For personal and household use, you may:
- Print pages from a book or bonus pack you own as many times as you’d like for your household.
- Photocopy a reasonable number of pages so that family members can each have their own copy of a puzzle.
- Store backup copies of legitimately obtained digital files on your own devices or private cloud storage.
You may not:
- Upload full books, bonus packs, or high-resolution scans to any website, shared drive, or file-sharing service.
- Remove our logos, signatures, or copyright notices from the pages, or replace them with your own branding.
- Sell printed copies of our pages, even at cost, without a written license from us.
2.2 Classrooms, groups & libraries
We’re happy when teachers, librarians, and group leaders use our work in real-world rooms. As a general rule:
- A teacher, librarian, or group leader may print or photocopy individual pages for in-room use with their own class, reading group, or event.
- Copies should be handed out in person and not uploaded to online classrooms or resource libraries unless we have agreed to this in writing.
- If you wish to share more than a handful of pages or to use them in a recurring program, please see our Permissions & Licensing page or contact us to discuss a license.
2.3 Using local print shops
You may take a legitimately obtained PDF to a local print shop or office service, provided that the prints are for your personal, classroom, or library use and will not be sold as products.
We ask that you:
- Make it clear to the shop that the file is for your own use and should not be reused, rebranded, or offered to other customers.
- Do not authorise the shop to store or resell the file as a downloadable product or template.
3. Bonus packs & digital gifts
Our bonus packs are small, collectible sets of puzzles or extras that we offer as digital gifts to readers. They are usually delivered as PDFs through our Chronicles waitlist or newsletter.
3.1 What you can do with a bonus pack
For each bonus pack you receive, you may:
- Solve or color the pages yourself as many times as you’d like.
- Print pages for your own household, classroom, or reading group as described above.
- Keep a backup copy of the PDF in your personal storage.
3.2 What you may not do
You may not, without our written permission:
- Repost the bonus pack (or most of it) as a free download on your own site or social feeds.
- Bundle our bonus pages into your own printables, courses, or subscription boxes.
- Feed our pages into AI training datasets or use them as design assets for your own products.
These limits help keep bonus packs genuinely special for people who sign up, and they protect the readers who support the work.
3.3 Email, analytics & privacy
When you claim a bonus pack, we’ll process your email address and limited engagement data (for example, whether a download link was clicked) in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookies page. You can change your email preferences or unsubscribe at any time using the links included in each message.
4. Sharing photos, videos & streams
We love seeing readers enjoy the books and bonus packs, and we encourage reasonable sharing that showcases your experience rather than reproducing our entire content.
4.1 What’s usually fine
- Posting photos of a few pages or spreads on social media, with clear credit to R. R. Thalore / Chronicles of Wordcraft.
- Short videos or livestreams where you solve puzzles or color pages, provided the focus is on your experience and commentary.
- Reviews and blog posts that show small excerpts of pages as part of your genuine review or recommendation.
4.2 What to avoid
- Uploading full books, full bonus packs, or high-resolution scans that would let someone bypass buying the book or signing up for the pack.
- Sharing flattened PDFs of entire packs as “classroom resources,” “clipart,” or “free printables” on your own site or on marketplaces.
- Using our artwork or press-kit images as your logo, series branding, or product packaging without a license.
If you’d like to feature our work in a more substantial way—for example, in a course, membership, or paid series—please see the Permissions & Licensing page and get in touch.
5. Printers, paper & affiliate recommendations
From time to time we recommend paper types, printers, or other tools that we find helpful for printing and enjoying the books.
- Some recommendation links may be affiliate links or part of partnerships described on our Disclosures page and the Affiliate & Partnerships page.
- Affiliate links do not change the price you pay. If you choose to use them, they may send a small commission back to support future books and bonus packs.
- We only recommend tools or services that we believe are a good fit for the brand and our readers, whether or not an affiliate arrangement is in place.
You are never required to use a recommended printer or supplier. Any brand names we mention are for illustration only and do not imply endorsement of us by those companies.
6. Still have questions?
If your situation doesn’t quite fit the examples above, you’re always welcome to reach out before you proceed. We’d much rather answer a question than see a misunderstanding.
- For general help with downloads or printing, start with our Help pages and related articles.
- For questions about using our puzzles, artwork, or press kit in a project, please see Permissions & Licensing and then email us with details.
- You can reach us at [email protected]. When you write, please include which book or pack you’re asking about, how you plan to use it, and any relevant deadlines.
Nothing in this FAQ grants additional rights beyond what is set out in our Terms of Use, Permissions & Licensing page, or any written license you have from us. If you are ever unsure, please ask.
