Overview
This page explains how educators—including classroom teachers, librarians, tutors, homeschoolers, and activity leaders—may print and reuse Chronicles of Wordcraft puzzles and bonus packs with their learners.
It is meant as a practical companion to our core legal terms. It does not replace them. For the full legal details, please also review:
- Permissions & Licensing
- Terms of Use
- Privacy Policy
- Disclosures and the Affiliate & Partnerships page
- DMCA (for reporting copyright concerns)
If there is any conflict between this educator-friendly summary and the legal pages above, the legal pages always govern.
1. Who this page is for
When we say “educator” here, we mean people using our materials to teach, coach, or support learning, including:
- Classroom teachers in public, private, or independent schools.
- Homeschooling families and co-ops.
- Librarians and after-school coordinators.
- Tutors, therapists, and support staff working one-to-one or with small groups.
- Camp leaders, club organizers, and community education programs.
If you are a publisher, marketplace seller (for example, a “printables” shop or curriculum vendor), or commercial training provider, please contact us directly before using our work in your own products. You will almost always need a separate written license.
2. Everyday classroom printing
2.1 Single-classroom license (most readers)
Unless a specific product clearly says otherwise, each purchased book or download gives you a single-classroom license:
- You may make enough printed copies for your own current students or small groups.
- You may reprint the same pages for future years with your own classes.
- You may keep a backup copy on your own devices or in a closed school drive for your use.
2.2 What you may not do
You may not:
- Distribute our PDFs or puzzle pages to other teachers outside your own classroom team.
- Upload full books, bonus packs, or raw puzzle pages to public websites, shared drives, or marketplaces.
- Strip our branding, watermarks, or copyright notices from pages before handing them out.
- Bind our pages into a new “curriculum” or workbook and sell or redistribute it as your own.
These limits help protect our ability to continue creating new mythic and zodiac-themed resources. Thank you for respecting them.
3. Homeschool & family use
For homeschooling families, a purchase or download may be used within a single household:
- You may print pages for all children in your household.
- You may reprint pages as often as needed for review or multi-year use.
- You may store files in your private cloud storage or devices.
Please do not share the files with other families or co-ops unless you have purchased or arranged enough copies for everyone, or we have agreed in writing to a group license.
4. Schools, libraries, and larger groups
We are delighted when whole schools or programs want to incorporate Chronicles of Wordcraft into their reading corners, puzzle clubs, or themed events. To keep things fair:
4.1 Multiple classrooms, departments, or branches
If our puzzles will be used across multiple classrooms, departments, or library branches, please either:
- Purchase enough copies for each classroom or branch that will use them, or
- Contact us to discuss a school-wide or site license for specific titles.
4.2 Central reprographics and copy rooms
School print shops and reprographics departments may make copies on behalf of teachers as long as:
- Each teacher or classroom already has its own license (book or download), and
- Printing is only for internal use with your own students and not for resale.
4.3 Libraries
Libraries may keep circulating copies of our printed books and may print a reasonable number of puzzle pages for on-site activities, clubs, or take-home packs, provided the pages are not compiled into new products for sale.
5. Projectors, whiteboards, and digital sharing
5.1 Screens in the classroom
You may display our puzzles on a projector, interactive whiteboard, or classroom screen so students can solve them together. This includes:
- Annotating or highlighting words during whole-class discussions.
- Using built-in whiteboard tools to model strategies.
5.2 Learning management systems (LMS)
You may upload pages or PDFs to a closed LMS (for example, Google Classroom, Canvas, or a district portal) if:
- Access is restricted to your enrolled students and relevant staff.
- You do not grant public or “anyone with the link” access to the files.
- You do not remove our branding or copyright information from the files.
5.3 What is not allowed digitally
You may not:
- Post full-resolution pages or PDFs on public websites, blogs, or social media feeds.
- Upload our files to open shared drives or resource hubs not restricted to your students.
- Embed our puzzles in apps, games, or interactive platforms without written permission.
If you are unsure whether a particular platform counts as “closed” or “public,” please contact us at [email protected] before uploading.
6. Bulk orders, site licenses & special events
6.1 Bulk physical book orders
For class sets, library systems, or events that require a large number of printed books, we may be able to help you arrange bulk purchasing through our retail partners (for example, Amazon or other distribution channels).
For details, please reach out with your location, desired title(s), and approximate quantity to [email protected]. We are happy to explore options with you and coordinate with our partners where possible.
6.2 Site or program licenses for digital packs
If you would like to use a digital pack (such as a deity-specific bonus pack) across a whole grade, department, or program, a site license may be more appropriate than one license per classroom. Please contact us with:
- The title(s) you want to use.
- The number of educators and students involved.
- Whether your use is ongoing or for a one-time event.
6.3 Events, puzzle nights, and clubs
For school or library events (such as “mythology night” or a puzzle club), you may print extra copies of the relevant pages for attendees, as long as:
- The puzzles are not being sold separately as a product.
- Any admission fee for the event is for the event as a whole, not for a copy of the puzzles themselves.
If you plan to include our puzzles in a fundraiser, festival, or commercial promotion, please contact us first so we can confirm whether a special license is required.
7. Using our art, logos, and press kit materials
Our covers, watermarks, coins, sigils, and other artwork are part of the Chronicles of Wordcraft brand. Educators often ask whether they can use this art in slides, newsletters, or classroom materials.
7.1 What is usually fine
- Including a small image of a book cover in a classroom newsletter, library display, or recommended reading list that mentions us.
- Using our official press images exactly as provided in the Press Kit for articles, reviews, or school newsletters that discuss our books.
7.2 What is not permitted without written permission
- Using our artwork or logos as generic classroom clip-art or theme decorations.
- Dropping our coins, sigils, or character art into your own worksheets, printables, or products.
- Selling any resource (including on teacher marketplaces) that incorporates our puzzles, art, or branding.
Press kit assets and other artwork remain our intellectual property. They are shared so you can accurately represent the brand—not to be re-licensed, modified, or repurposed into new products. For commercial collaborations or sponsorships, please see Affiliate & Partnerships and Disclosures, or contact us directly.
8. Recommending our books, reviews & affiliate links
Many educators like to recommend resources to families, colleagues, or other schools. You are welcome to:
- Mention our titles in newsletters, reading lists, or recommendation sheets.
- Post honest reviews or photos of your classroom using our books (without sharing full pages or PDFs).
- Apply to join any affiliate or partnership programs we may offer, as described on our Affiliate & Partnerships page.
If you receive any benefit (affiliate commissions, review copies, or sponsorship) for recommending our books, you must follow your jurisdiction’s disclosure rules. See our Disclosures page for how we handle affiliate links and sponsorship information.
9. Email signups, student data & privacy
Our bonus packs and downloads are delivered by email. We design our forms for adults, not for unsupervised children.
- Please use a teacher or school email address when signing up for educator-only resources, not personal student addresses.
- If you invite families to join our list directly, ask them to sign up themselves rather than enrolling them on their behalf.
- Do not send us student names, grades, or other identifying details unless we specifically ask for them in a support context, and then only share the minimum necessary.
For full details on what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy and Cookies page.
10. Questions, clarifications & custom permissions
We know every school, library, and program is a little different. If you are planning a use that does not quite fit the examples on this page—or you are simply unsure whether your idea is covered—please contact us before proceeding.
The best way to reach us is by email at [email protected], or via the form on our Contact page. Please describe:
- Which titles or packs you want to use.
- Roughly how many educators and learners will be involved.
- Whether your use is ongoing, a single event, or a limited pilot.
We cannot promise to approve every request, but we will always try to give a clear, timely answer so you can plan confidently and stay within our licensing.
